Iraq oil exports up to 2.516 million bpd in July

Iraq's oil exports rose to 2.516 million barrels per day (bpd) on average in July compared with 2.403 million bpd in June, the head of the State Oil Marketing Organisation (SOMO) told Reuters.
Exports from Basra in the south were 2.216 million bpd in July, while shipments from northern Kirkuk were 300,000 bpd, including 6,000 bpd by truck through Jordan, SOMO chief Falah Alamri said.
Revenue from the exports totalled about $7.5 billion, with an average selling price per barrel of $96.50.
Shipments of crude from the Kirkuk field in northern Iraq usually average 300,000 to 400,000 bpd and are expected to remain stable around that level.
Recovering from decades of war and crippling sanctions, Iraq is seeking to boost its oil flows. The bulk of its crude oil is exported from southern Gulf ports.
