What is the role of the Hellenic Foreign Trade Board (HEPO) in organizing the Greek pavilion?
Greece is going through an economic crisis, and this is no secret. A way to tackle this problem is encouraging and increasing the country’s exports. We believe that participating in exhibitions is a very useful way to promote Greek products, to explore new markets and find new customers. We at the Board, encourage Greek companies by providing them financial incentives, logistical help and marketing tools.
Today is the first day of the show, so it’s early to talk about any feedback, but definitely you have expectations from this show?
Certainly. This is not the first time we participate in Project Lebanon. We believe in this country and find its people very intelligent and friendly. But mostly we believe that Lebanon is the gateway to the whole region of the Middle East. So, if at Project Lebanon we find Lebanese businessmen who like to team up with us, we are ready to do business with them.
You said this is not the first time you’re participating in PL, so you have a history of working with IFP, what can you say about your experience with IFP?
We take part in 80 shows around the world per year. We find our cooperation with IFP very fruitful. We believe that IFP is one of the most professional trade fair organizers in the region. This is why we also participated in Project Qatar and Project Iraq.
