Elie Abd El Nour & Co Sal (ELIACO) is a company specialized in the wholesale trade of home appliances since 1972. It was established in by Elie Abdelnour, headquartered in Beirut’s Caracas area. “In 2012, ELIACO has expanded its range of business into the renewable energies market, by adding a consultancy office in power management up to power generation, by the means of these new technologies,” said Elie Abdelnour, General Manager of the company. “Our main focus is the solar energy for power generation as well as thermal applications, and lighting as well as specialized electric appliances are used for consumption reduction,” he added.
ELIACO’s goal is to raise the awareness of the Lebanese people on green renewable technologies' efficiency, as well as their return on investment that is growing faster and faster, while being eco-friendly and power autonomous. “Construction in Lebanon is moving at a very fast pace leaving the energy market behind as the energy sector hasn't been evolving in accordance with the evolution of the infrastructure and construction in general,” noted Abdelnour. “This is mainly due to the fact that construction companies are owned by the private sector and thus developing and growing, whereas the energy sector is owned by government and faces major problems,” he added hoping that the energy sector would be addressed seriously and solved in the next decade.
This is the first time ELIACO is participating in Project Lebanon 2014 as part of its Energy Lebanon show. “We are going to display our energy storage systems as well as a simulation of their work and a line of our lighting products,” said Abdelnour. “Through participating, we aim at creating networking opportunities with our customers and potential customers, but especially we consider it an opportunity to expose the ability of our products and their efficiency,” he added.
ELIACO has a rich portfolio of power reduction solutions including big furniture chain as well as two logistics companies, warehouses and facilities. “We have also implemented a power reduction system at house in Bayada area near Rabye as well as in an office in Antelias. All have full power autonomy now,” underlined Abdelnour. “In addition, ELIACO has supervised many construction projects and sports courts applying sustainable lighting systems or modifying them to fit the customer demand.
Abdelnour believes that ELIACO has the potential to expand in the Middle East and the Arab countries as the company holds brands representation for the whole Middle East.
