Once again, several companies from Belgium and Luxembourg will participate this year in “Project Lebanon”. “The fact that this will be Belgium’s 15th participation and Luxembourg’s 5th is a testimony of our continued interest and faith in Lebanon, its market as well as the Lebanese construction sector. We also highly regard Project Lebanon as a very successful trade fair for the country and the region and IFP as a professional organizer,” said Nada Abdul Rahim Economic and Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of Belgium.
Belgian and Luxembourg companies will present a wide range of products and services including the latest innovations, trends and technologies developed for building materials and construction equipment such as:
– Innovative and sustainable aluminum systems,
– Machines & diamond tools from the largest abrasives company in the world,
– Steelplate and design radiators, floor heating and convectors,
– Raw materials for the paint and ink industry,
– Specialty and decorative paints and varnishes for the building industry,
– Floor and wall coverings,
– Burners, boilers, biomass boilers, heat pumps and water heaters,
– FlowGuard CPVC pipes and fittings,
These companies will contribute with their presence to the diversity of this exhibition. “Indeed, Project Lebanon” offers our firms the opportunity to exhibit their products, strengthen existing ties and establish new partnerships. This year, the Luxembourg companies will be grouped within the Luxembourg pavilion while the Belgian companies will exhibit separately” said Nada Abdul Rahim.
Nada Abdul Rahim added: Let me conclude with some figures on trade relations between Belgium and Lebanon. Belgian exports to Lebanon have increased significantly over the past few years. In 2013, they reached 377 million Euros or approximately 516 million USD, up by 22% from the previous year. These exports were essentially composed of chemical products including pharmaceuticals, mineral products, jewelry (mainly diamonds), electrical machinery, foodstuffs, and much more.
“We hope that, once again, “Project Lebanon” will pave the way for fruitful exchanges between our countries, leading to prosperous and sustainable business deals,” the Attaché concluded.
