Egypt’s Ambassador to Iraq Alaa Morsi stressed his country’s keenness to strengthen joint relations with Iraq and provide all possible means of support.
During a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Planning Sabah al-Dulaimi, Morsi praised the measures Dulaimi announced to during the meeting to develop the quality of bilateral cooperation, a statement by Dulaimi’s office said.
The meeting discussed a number of issues to be addressed during the visit of Dulaimi to Egypt next week, especially the Egyptian experiment in conducting population census, which the Iraqi ministry plans to conduct during the fourth quarter of the next year.
The memorandum of understanding which is set to be signed with the Egyptian side in the field of economic and development policies, statistical work, and international and regional cooperation was also addressed during the meeting.
