Oman’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) is set to launch an international tender for the Phase Two of the country pavilion at the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai event.
Phase One of the project includes services related to preliminary design, development, production, and supervision of the content of the pavilion, reported Muscat Daily.
While Phase Two includes supervision of the construction, furnishing and equipping the pavilion, and then decommissioning, removal and disposal of the materials and the waste, in addition to the full management of the project.
Located in Expo’s Mobility district, the pavilion is designed to resemble a frankincense tree.
It will feature five zones, illuminating how frankincense contributed to Omani advancements in transportation, knowledge, manufacturing, sustainability, and exploration.
Oman had revealed the design of its pavilion last November. The sultanate will be taking part in the mega event alongside regional and international organizations from 190 countries from October 20, next year to April 10, 2021.
