Qatar Chamber hosted yesterday a delegation from Singapore specialized in security systems, tech solutions, and cybersecurity.
QC Assistant Director-General for Government Relations and Committee Affairs, Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri who headed the Qatari side in the meeting said that Qatar and Singapore enjoyed very strong and distinct relations at all fields of cooperation.
Al Mansouri also noted that the two countries’ trade volume reached last year more than $7.02 bn, recording a 10 percent up compared to $6.4bn in 2017. There are many mutual investments in various sectors in both sides, he said, affirming that Qatar Chamber is keenly interested in enhancing cooperation ties between businessmen from both friendly countries in all economic aspects especially in SMEs.
“We highly support seeing more Singaporean companies in the Qatari market and more partnerships with Qatari companies in all sectors especially in security solutions,” he said.
On her part, head of the delegation Assistant CEO of Enterprise Singapore Chew Mok Lee said that there is a scope of cooperation between both sides. She stressed that the delegation is interested in exploring business opportunities available in the Qatari market.
President of Security Association Raj Thomas said that the visiting delegation included representatives of seven Singaporean leading companies in security solutions, affirming that Singaporean businessmen are eager to inform Qatari businessmen on their expertise in this field.
