The combined value of real estate transactions in Qatar in 2019 stood at QR22.4bn from 3,752 property transactions, according to a report by Ezdan Real Estate Company citing the Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Registration Department figures.
During Q1 2019, real estate activity recorded 1065 transactions accounting for QR5.1bn. In Q2 2019, transactions value mounted up to QR5.7bn generated from 930 transactions, as the third quarter sales recorded about QR4.5bn, totaling 823 transactions. Last quarter hit record highs during the year with QR7.1bn total value flowing from 934 deals.
Real estate market activity during December 2019 has witnessed concluding 234 transactions at QR1.2bn, according to the Real Estate Registration Department. During the period December 22-26, 2019, real estate activity witnessed 51 transactions accounting for a total value of QR153m. Seven municipalities were involved namely; Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakhira, Doha, Al Rayyan, Shamal, Al Daayen and Al Wakrah. The sales included land lots, multi-use buildings and land lots, and residential structures.
Doha ranked first in deal value by the sale of a multi-use land lot spreading over 1264sqm in Old Airport zone for QR13m, at a price of QR955 per square foot. This period was void of significant transactions that may reflect major highs in the total value of sales.
