Leading Abu Dhabi developer Imkan said it has awarded a Dh236-million ($64.2 million) deal to Al Dhabi Contracting for the development of Phase One of the master-planned development at AlJurf, a coastal destination along the UAE’s riviera Sahel Al Emarat.
A coastal community development spread over a sprawling 3.7-million-sq-m area, AlJurf is a sanctuary where residents have the opportunity to be a part of preserving their environment.
Nestled within a nature reserve, the destination serves as an escape from the fast-paced lifestyle of the city and is built against a backdrop of stunning coastal views and immaculate beaches bordered by lush green forest.
Secluded residential villas and land plots cluster close to a central community hub in the midst of a nature reserve to reinterpret The Great Past of Tomorrow.
Imkan said as per the deal, Al Dhabi Contracting will construct 146 residential along with two show villas on a 57,851-sq-m area at AlJurf Gardens, a prime development coming up within Phase One of the project which is due for completion in 2022.
On the new contract, Imkan CEO Walid El Hindi said: “Our second home destination, AlJurf, is a special project for us, as we have undertaken a guardianship role to preserve the incredible nature found at the site.”

General Manager Samy Edward expressed delight at winning the Imkan contract to build the first phase of AlJurf Gardens.
