Dedicated to developing excellence in Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ) and part of the Project Qatar Business Intelligence Series, the co-located AcousticsTech Qatar and InsulationTech Qatar conferences were successfully launched today at the Intercontinental – The City, Doha, Qatar.
Tom Gore, Managing Director of ACM said: "As Qatar continues to lead the region in construction mega-projects, it is vital that the quality of the built environment is considered and in particular the indoor environment quality. Sound and temperature are the two biggest factors that contribute to inhabitants comfort, therefore we are extremely pleased to launch AcousticsTech and InsulationTech, which are taking place concurrently this week at The Intercontinental – The City hotel in Doha.”
Managing Director, Tom Gore continued: “AcousticsTech Qatar is a specialised conference designed to tackle the challenges of enhancing building acoustics and minimising construction noise in Qatar’s rapidly expanding built environment, whilst InsulationTech Qatar is a specialised conference designed to explore advanced building insulation materials, techniques and processes, which can be utilised to enable Qatar to achieve its sustainability ambitions, whilst also delivering optimum safety and comfort in the indoor environment.”
Delegates attending the conferences enjoyed the benefit of specialised knowledge in each conference, whilst the shared networking opportunities ensured that the delegates were able to build new business partnerships.
Attendees commented: "Very good effort by ACM. Extremely worthwhile" Senior Design Manager, Hill international; "The event was really informative and added a lot to my knowledge. Speakers were excellent and the organisation was just as wonderful. I would really love to attend more events organised by ACM in the future" CEO, HPD and “Good content, expertise & speakers sharing knowledge” Architect, Atkins.
Whilst the opening day of both conferences introduced the topics and began to explore the intricacies of developing new building codes and fully considering acoustics and insulation in construction from the earliest stages of project planning, the conferences will continue today on the 11th December to explore the subject matter in more detail.
AcousticsTech Qatar and InsulationTech Qatar are being organized by Advanced Conferences & Meetings (ACM), in partnership with IFP Qatar and provide a platform for manufacturers, materials suppliers and solution providers to showcase their expertise, products and services, whilst consultants, contractors and engineers exchange best practice and plan for future construction requirements.
