Agriculture Minister Hasan Lakkis Monday discussed ways to facilitate the export of Lebanese products to Jordan with Jordanian Transport Minister Anmar Al Kasawneh.
During Lakkis’ visit to Jordan, the two ministers also talked about Lebanese exports passing through Jordan. The pair discussed forming specialized committees to address problems facing Lebanese exporters, particularly in transferring goods through the Jordanian borders into the Gulf.
Lakkis also met with Jordan’s Industry and Trade Minister Tariq Hammouri to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, Hammouri stressed the importance of the two countries embarking on joint manufacturing projects, according to the state-run National News Agency.
Lakkis had arrived in Jordan Saturday and met with his Jordanian counterpart Ibrahim Subhi Al-Shehadeh, the NNA reported.
