Qatar’s international hospitality offering has taken a “major leap forward” with the flagship entry of the first Luxury Collection hotel in Doha, Al Messila Resort & Spa, the latest addition to the Marriott International’s luxury portfolio, it has been announced.
“The much-anticipated Al Messila Resort & Spa has been designed as a one-of-a-kind destination. It exquisitely converges matchless lifestyle, wellness and epicurean excellence in a gated, ‘private palace’-style setting amid a natural oasis where an authentic welcome is infused with the distinctive warmth of Qatari culture,” a press statement notes.
Guests will experience an upscale accommodation with 152 “elegantly designed” rooms, suites and premium villas.
“The exquisite design of the villas, each with its own plunge pool, garden, and exceptional butler service, provides an intimate and luxurious experience,” the statement continues.
With an “unprecedented footprint”, Al Messila Resort & Spa presents the first ladies-only wellness retreat in the region.
“Truly exceptional and pioneering, it combines a multi-layered holistic concept with a comprehensive menu of in-depth, integrated therapies and natural treatments,” it adds.
Individually designed with long-term well-being and balance in mind, each program is supported by a team of talented wellness advisers, who are experts in alternative health therapies, tailored fitness, nutrition and more.
These come along with innovative outlets, “unmatched” indoor and outdoor botanical gardens events space and a play-and-learn innovative Little Explorers’ Club.
Michelin-starred executive chef Pino Lavarra is overseeing D.N.A – Dining Network at Al Messila – the body that encompasses all the culinary venues of the property.
He is supported by a full cadre of fellow Michelin-starred chefs, including chef Theis Brydegaard, who is delivering a Nordic gourmet experience at Snøull, inspired by friluftsliv, a Scandinavian philosophy of reconnecting with nature, a “first of its kind” in Doha.
The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts offers the promise of “unique, authentic experiences that evoke lasting, treasured memories”.
Surpassing 100 hotels in nearly 35 countries, The Luxury Collection has become “the world’s largest luxury hotel brand by celebrating and promoting the authentic and indigenous hotels and resorts within its portfolio”.
