Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H E Abdelmadjid Tebboune held an official talks session at El Mouradia Presidential Palace in Algiers yesterday.
Talks during the session dealt with bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of developing and strengthening them in various fields, especially in energy, economy, investment, culture, and sports. The session discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, including the Palestinian cause and the Libyan crisis.
Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir attended the session. On the Algerian side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Ministers and senior officials.
HH the Amir, in joint press remarks with Algerian President at the Presidential Palace yesterday, said that their talks were constructive. His Highness stressed that the two countries’ relations in the economic and investment fields will be further developed, adding that Qatar and Algeria agreed on many matters.
During the remarks, HH the Amir praised Algeria’s regional and Arab role and its honorable history in resolving many of the existing conflicts, whether in the region or in the Arab world, stressing the need for its role in this regard and expressing his confidence in the success of the upcoming Arab summit to be hosted by Algeria.
At the beginning of the press statements, HH the Amir expressed his thanks to H E the Algerian President for the good reception and hospitality.
H E the Algerian President welcomed HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation, saying that his talks with HH the Amir affirmed the full agreement of the two countries on the issues raised during the talks, including economic and political fields, and Arab, regional and international issues while thanking HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation for the visit.
