Four consortia have so far submitted bids for the operation and maintenance of the Riyadh Bus Network, including the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT), according to the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA).
"We are delighted to announce that we have received four bids to operate the bus network which is another step toward providing a world-class transportation system for the people of Riyadh," Abdulrahman Alshalan, ADA director of transportation, said.
The four consortia that have submitted the bids are Dallah Haj Transport/MV Transportation Inc., Saudi Public Transport Co./RATP-DEV, El Seif Engineering and Contracting Co. Ltd./Gersel Turizm Tasimacilik, and Hafil Public Transport Company/National Express Group Plc.
