Qatar's Ashghal has floated two tenders for a road improvement and drainage micro tunneling/pipe jacking projects respectively.
The scope of work for road improvement covers upgrading the 7.8 km Al Furousiya street located in zones 52-55 in Al Rayyan Municipality to a four lane road, converting Al Furousiya and Al Muaither roundabout to signalized intersections and constructing a four arm signalized intersection on Al Waab Street with Furousiya street, according to Ashghal's website.
Documents are available for a fee of 6,000 Qatari Riyals ($ 1648); the last date for submission is 27 September 2016 along with a bid bond for 7,000,000 Qatari Riyals ($1,922,467), the invite said.
The works are to be completed within 540 days including mobilization and demobilization.
In a separate notice, Ashghal has also sought prequalification applications for drainage micro tunneling and pipe jacking works for various projects across Qatar.
The last date for submission is 20 September 2016, as per a public invite.
"The contractor shall provide management, procurement, execution and supervision services for drainage micro tunneling and pipe jacking works for multiple pipe sizes from 400mm to greater than 2000mm diameters," the invite said.
Ashghal, Qatar's Public Works Authority, oversees the design, construction, and management of major projects including roads, drainage and buildings such as public buildings, schools and hospitals.
