Figures released by the Hariri International Airport (HIA) show that the number of airport passengers (arrivals, departures, transit) totaled 3,404,359 in the first seven months of 2012, constituting an increase of 8.7% from the same period last year.
The total number of flights reached 36,680 in the first seven months of 2012, up 1.8% year-on-year. Also, the HIA processed 38,085 metric tons of cargo in the first seven months of 2012, of which 45,271 tons of freight and 449 tons of mail.
