Brazilian Ambassador Luis Ivaldo has reiterated his country’s dedication to strengthening collaboration with Iraq, with a focus on industry and agriculture. In an interview with the state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA), he revealed that trade between the two nations reached $1.9 billion in 2024, reflecting a significant 48% increase compared to 2023.
Ivaldo underscored Brazil’s commitment to assisting Iraq in advancing key sectors through the application of modern technology, while also promoting private sector involvement. He assured that the Brazilian Embassy would play a pivotal role in fostering partnerships between Iraqi and Brazilian businesses, acting as a bridge to facilitate commercial cooperation.
