The Iraqi Council of Ministers has endorsed the Social Services Council’s recommendation to grant the contract for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the South Karbala Water Project to the Chinese company Shandong Shiji.
Valued at 699.75 billion Iraqi dinars ($534 million), the project will have a capacity of 16,000 m³ per hour and will be implemented in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
