Work has officially commenced on the Yanqul Viewpoint Project, initiated by Al Dhahirah Municipality in the Wilayat of Yanqul, Al Dhahirah Governorate. Situated along the road linking Yanqul and Sohar, the project is expected to be completed within a year.
Eng. Abdullah bin Suleiman Al Hashemi, Director of the Yanqul Municipality Department, stated that the project covers an area of 120,704 square meters, with 65,000 square meters allocated for development in Al Nahda Square along the Sohar-Yanqul Road. With a budget of RO 1,680,000, the project will feature green spaces, an open-air theater, cafés, playgrounds, water fountains, walking paths, barbecue areas, and prayer rooms, catering to visitors of all ages.
The initiative aligns with Al Dhahirah Governorate’s broader strategy to enhance recreational facilities, expand green spaces, and attract investment. Designed to highlight the region’s natural beauty, the project incorporates architectural elements that blend with the surrounding landscape, promoting sustainable development.
