Advanced Conferences & Meetings (ACM) proudly launched the Dubai Green Hotel Innovation on Monday, 28 November at Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai, UAE. This event constitutes a platform for hoteliers to discuss strategies to reduce the hospitality industry’s carbon footprint and achieve greater environmental sustainability.
Dubai Green Hotel Innovation brought together government officials, hotel owners, hotel operators, developers, consultants, financers, contractors and green technology solution providers.
The conference started with the opening remarks of the chairman Holley Chant from KEO International Consultants followed by many exciting presentations among which we can mention: “Green globe certification and new sustainability trends in the Middle East’s hospitality sector” by Sandrine Le Biavant from FARNEK, Greening the UAE hospitality sector and reaching energy and water efficiency by Saeed Alabar from AESG, Sustainable transportation in tourism sector: Dubai Green Mobility Initiative by Taher Diab from Supreme Council of Energy, The future of swimming pool filtration by Jon Maskell from Fluidra Middle East (Certikin), Implementing Sustainability at a corporate level by Craig Cunningham from Jumeirah Group, Energy saving systems associated with hotel air conditioning and adding value of condensate capturing by Gerard Boyle from Green Tech Systems FZE.
The conference provided an informative panel discussions on the increasing demand for green and cost-effective solutions in developing eco-friendly and sustainable hotels and a case study on the Retrofitting for energy and water efficiency in hotels.
The first day of Dubai Green Hotel Innovation conference created the perfect platform for the attendees to build relations, exchange ideas and seize business opportunities throughout the ACMi+ interface that allowed for many networking breaks which created a dynamic, efficient and relevant learning environment.
Dubai Green Hotel Innovation was held with the participation of Certikins, Greentech systems, FARNEK, Siemens, Luceco, British General, Technoflow, GenLed Agilight Tridonic, Premier Solar Technologies LLC, Assa Abloy Hospitality, Toro and Greenterra.
Day two (November 29) of the conference hosted speakers from the Emirates Green Building Council, EWS-WWF, CPA Consulting, taka solutions, Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman and Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, The Address Dubai Marina, Smart4Power, Kempinski Hotel Ajman and will feature different case studies and a panel discussion.
