Dubai Municipality said it is planning to build a major mixed use development in Garhoud, spread over more than one million sq ft. The development will include a shopping mall, offices and residential apartments, said Yusuf Abdullah, head of the building permits section at Dubai Municipality.
He added in a statement that the project will include 70 shops, 25 offices and 280 apartments ranging between 1,600 and 2400 sq ft in size.
The complex also will have 580 parking lots, the statement said.
He said the department has completed the initial study of the project and has sent for detailed consultation and deliberations.
He added that he expected the license for the multi-storied building to take 7-10 days to process.
No value for the project was disclosed.
