Egypt's International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr met on Thursday 26/01/2017 with Lebanon's Economy and Trade Minister Raed Khoury on the sidelines of Nasr's visit to Lebanon.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the issues that will be listed on the agenda of the Egyptian-Lebanese Joint Higher Committee, which will be chaired by the two countries' prime ministers.
Nasr heads the Egyptian side in the joint ministerial committee in preparation for the Egyptian-Lebanese Joint Higher Committee.
The two ministers also set the exact date for holding the committee, which will be held in March.
Meanwhile, Nasr and Khoury touched upon activating previous documents signed between Cairo and Beirut and achieving relevant concrete results that will benefit the two peoples, especially in the fields of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and information technology.
As for the private sector, the two sides agreed on promoting its participation in enhancing bilateral cooperation through forming an Egyptian-Lebanese council of businessmen in coordination with Egypt's Trade and Industry Ministry.
