Egypt has an active projects market worth $364.9bn, according to regional projects tracker MEED Projects. This includes $140bn of schemes under execution, $150bn under study, $12.1bn at the main contract bid stage, $12.1bn at prequalification, and $50bn in design.
In terms of those in the pre-execution phases, the biggest future sector is construction, with $137bn-worth of projects in the pipeline. The next biggest sectors are power, with $78bn, and transport, with $56bn.
