Egypt’s Suez Canal Aquaculture Company, a subsidiary of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), has signed a memorandum of understanding with Spain’s Tejedor Lazaro Group to strengthen cooperation in fisheries, aquaculture operations, and the feed industry, according to an official statement.
The agreement aligns with Egypt’s broader efforts to attract foreign investment and encourage international partnerships in major development projects.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated that the deal reflects Egypt’s strategic commitment to global cooperation and sustainable growth across key sectors. He noted that the MoU builds on the momentum of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s recent visit to Spain, which aimed to deepen bilateral investment ties.
Madbouly also emphasized the importance of the fisheries, aquaculture, and feed industries in ensuring food security and highlighted Egypt’s significant progress in these fields over recent years.
