Egypt is aiming for an annual growth of 5 to 6% in tourist arrivals by 2028, with projections indicating double-digit growth in the following years, according to Asharq Business, citing Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy.
At a conference in Cairo, Fathy unveiled plans for a new initiative aimed at incentivizing the development of new hotels.
The initiative is intended to complement the current program, which is primarily geared towards expanding the capacity of existing hotels.
