The Ministry of Trade disclosed today that a protocol of cooperation was signed with Egypt to establish an international trade zone in Baghdad. In a statement issued by the ministry and received by Aswat al-Iraq, it noted that the protocol was signed in Cairo, Egypt, during the visit of the Iraqi trade delegation.
It added that Iraq welcomes the increase in Egyptian investment in Iraq and developing bilateral relations, as well as facilitating granting visas to Egyptian merchants.
The trade exchange between the two countries exceeded $500 million, with hopes to increase it in the coming future.
