Missan Oil Company announced implementation of the first experiment in Iraq to use developed plastic pipelines (RTP) to transport oil from newly drilled oil wells in Abu Gharab oilfield.
Director General Eng. Ali Mi'arij al-Bahadli told Aswat al-Iraq that the Chinese company will introduce new world technology by using plastic pipeline in transporting crude oil and connecting the wells with Abu Gharab oilfield.
He added that the use of plastic pipelines is due to the difficult terrain and the mines in the area which hinder the use of iron pipelines and their heavy equipment accessories.
