The UAE pavilion, led by Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of the Department of Economic Development, brings together many UAE companies specialized in the construction, contracting and building materials sectors to participate in Project Qatar exhibition. Actually, some 100 UAE companies are participating in Project Qatar 2013 as the exhibition hosts the largest national pavilion at 2,100 sqm.
When Was Dubai Exports Established and By Whom?
On May 1st, 2006 the Dubai Executive Council issued a decree by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to form the Dubai Export Development Corporation (DEDC) – an organization which is wholly owned by the Government of Dubai and is the first of its kind in the country. The DEDC’s role is to develop and implement long-term strategies for exports out of the UAE, apart from undertaking an advocacy role for exporters in their relations with government and other relevant agencies through the formation of long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Did Dubai Exports Organize A UAE Pavilion In Project Qatar 2012 And What Was The Outcome?
UAE companies who participated last year in Project Qatar 2012 were able to clinch 17 deals worth of AED 221 Million with Qatari and International buyers.
How Many Companies are Participating This Year?
Last year we had more than 130 companies participating and this year we have 100. In preparation for the event we held a hugely success seminar entitled “Exporting Opportunities to Qatar” where we had over 175 companies in attendance to find out about the event and how to export to the country.
What Are Your Expectations?
We have been participating in Project Qatar for a number of years and each year we have tended to exceed the amount and the number of transactions that take place. We hope that this year will be no different and in order to support our companies we have arranged various valued added services such as matchmaking with local distributors and agents, linkages with official bodies, and so on.
