Iraq's Ministry of Construction and Housing has discussed with the German ambassador in Baghdad ways of joint cooperation in the fields of road projects, bridges and construction of residential complexes.
After meeting with ambassador Christian Karl George Berger, Minister Mohammed Sahib al-Daraji said in statement that the ministry is fully prepared to cooperate with the German side in providing the ministry with advanced equipment and machinery that serve in the implementation of construction projects.
Al-Daraji said: "German companies have a great reputation in the field of processing modern equipment and machinery.
"Iraq is about to launch large projects and enter a stage of the construction boom, but needs international experience in the field of reconstruction of infrastructure, and this is what we want from the German side."
Ambassador Berger expressed his country's interest to enter Iraq's market, especially the construction and building sector.
