The Ministry of Housing and Construction of Iraq declared that The Housing Fund concluded deals with nine investment companies for building up the residential complexes in a number of Iraqi provinces.
The Ministry of H & C quoted its Minister, Mohamed al-Daraji, in a statement, as saying the concerned technical, engineering and legal commissions are conducting the statements needed to give offer for the loans for those companies.
The investment companies are going on building 18,000 residential units, the statement added.
The number of borrowers amongst the citizens from the Housing Fund in 2012 surpassed 14,000 persons, the statement concluded, noting this figure signifies double the number of those who have been lent since the establishment of the Housing Fund in the year 2005.
