Jordanian Tourism revenues in the first four months of this year stood at JD776.7 million, an increase of 10.5 per cent compared to JD703 million during the same period last year, according to a Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) report.
The CBJ data showed that tourism revenues in April grew by 20.6 per cent when compared with the same month of last year. The rise was attributed to the increasing number of visitors from Libya, Iraq, the US and Saudi Arabia. The report said the increase in the tourism revenues is an indication that the sector is recovering.
