Director-General of the Kuwait Fund Abdulwahab Al-Badr has said that the fund has support 52 projects to the tune of $3.46 billion in agriculture, electricity, transportation, industry, and the water and sanitation sectors, since the fund was established, according to a statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation.
In a meeting held Sunday in Kuwait, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr thanked the Kuwait Fund for its support for development efforts in Egypt, especially its support for the Sinai Peninsula Development Programme.
The two sides also considered boosting the number of projects in the future, besides completing current projects in roads, ports and water resources, as a part of the current cooperation program between Egypt and the Kuwait Fund which has been extended from 2019 to 2020 with a total fund of $1 billion.
