Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan on Sunday met with Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab Ahmad Al-Bader.
Talks during the meeting covered the fund's support for the establishment of a natural gas terminal in Aqaba.
Talks on this issue are expected to start over the next few weeks.
The two sides also discussed the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) support to Jordan.
The Kuwaiti side is expected to take official decision on this issue after which a Kuwaiti grant will be provided to the Kingdom for this year and for the coming years.
The minister voiced hope that Jordan would be able to use the grant as soon as possible to support development projects.
He highlighted the need to enhance Jordanian-Kuwaiti ties, mainly in economic fields.
Hassan also voiced Jordan's keenness to forge closer cooperation with Kuwait for the interest of both countries.
