Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian said Thursday that Lebanon’s tourism was in “excellent situation,” in remarks made to local radio station Voice of Lebanon (93.3).
Guidanian said so far in 2019, the country had seen a large number of European tourists, as well as some Arab tourists. He noted that the “total number of tourists in 2018 was over 1,900,000, which is the second best after 2010.”
The minister said he expected an increase in Arab tourists after Saudi Arabia Wednesday lifted its 15-month-old travel warning for Lebanon.
