Mr. Najib Mikati, President of the Council of Ministers, visited yesterday Project Lebanon 2012, the 17th edition of the International Construction Trade Exhibition for Lebanon & the Middle East held concurrently with Energy Lebanon 2012, the International Trade Exhibition for Power, Electricity, Lighting & HVAC for Lebanon and the Middle East, and EcOrient 2012, the International Trade Exhibition & Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability, Alternative Energy, Water Technology and Clean Energy.
The Prime Minister was welcomed by the Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas, the State Minister Marwan Kheireddine and the Chairman of IFP Group Mr. Albert Aoun.
Mr. Mikati toured all halls of the exhibition which includes 800 participants from 28 countries including 16 international pavilions.
At the end of his visit, Mr. Mikati announced that his heart is full of joy by seeing what the private sector can achieve in Lebanon such as the Project Lebanon exhibition which has such a large participation. He added: “this exhibition is another expression of our will that our country can endure, revive and prosper. Both the public and the private sectors together constitute the anchors of our economy. I felt happy and satisfied during my tour when I witnessed the achievements of the private sector in Lebanon. We at the public sector are obliged to provide the stability needed so the private sector can perform better. Whoever has doubts about the situation in Lebanon, I say visit this show to see the number of foreigners participating in it and hear the acknowledgments of its success. And I say if it wasn’t a success in its past editions, we wouldn’t have seen this great number of exhibitors and visitors today.”
