Dar Al Omran Rasem Badran (DAO-Badran) has announced a new architectural project in Najaf, Iraq, in collaboration with Al Ghadeer and BMC. The development, titled Budoor Al-Najaf, aims to create a sustainable, human-centric, and culturally rooted residential community.
Covering approximately 50 hectares (123 acres), the project will offer over 1,400 residential units in four size options: 160, 200, 250, and 400 square metres. In addition to housing, the master plan includes a central market, schools, mosque, clinics, and recreational facilities, ensuring a fully integrated urban environment.
A company spokesperson told Iraq Business News:
“The Budoor Al-Najaf master plan blends traditional authenticity with contemporary functionality. Inspired by Najaf’s historical urban fabric, the design reinterprets the city’s legacy in a modern context.
Structured around a central urban square and a network of clustered neighborhoods, the layout reflects the city’s historic planning principles. The central area — anchored by a mosque and key public amenities — is designed to foster community interaction and social connectivity.”
The first phase of the Budoor Al-Najaf project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
