Officially Supported by Dubai Municipality, Advanced Conferences & Meetings (ACM) proudly launched Theme Park & Leisure Attractions (TPLA) Experience Tech UAE conference at Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai.
TPLA Experience Tech UAE brought together global TPLA industry leaders, manufacturers, high tech solution providers, policy makers, creative thinkers and consultants to discuss how to enhance guest experience, drive operational efficiency and optimize revenue performance.
The conference started with the opening remarks of Paul Kent from the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA): the conference’s knowledge partner. Margreet Papamicheal from AECOM delivered a presentation on the investment in leisure project worldwide and at the region level.
Margreet presentation was followed by a panel discussion on improving TPLA management by integrating control room software to gain intelligence and data to inform operations decision making and take real time decisions. This panel discussion was moderated by Paul Kent and brought together Muna Obaid Al Dhaheri, Nilesh Mistry and Krishan Kumar Tak.

Five case studies were delivered on day one of the conference. Peter Pauwels delivered a case study on AV solutions for visitor attractions, Muna Obaid Al Dhaheri presented Al Ain Zoo case study. Whilst Chris Siegle detailed how to keep guests entertained during periods of prolonged wait, Steve Foran explained how to ensure that guest satisfaction will be consistently high and Philipp Heindl presented a case study on amusement park visitor management solutions 2.0.
Another enriching panel discussion on improving guest enjoyment and happiness by ensuring a “wait free” park experience was delivered by Rohma Sadaqat, Lucio Conti, Naveed Dowlatshahi and Steve Foran.

The first day of TPLA Experience Tech UAE conference created the perfect platform for the attendees to build relations, exchange ideas and seize business opportunities throughout the ACMi+ interface that allowed for many networking breaks which created a dynamic, efficient and relevant learning environment.

Solution providers like Barco, Skidata Middle East and Kenzan VR showcased their newest technologies, innovation and solutions for TPLA.
Day two (September 6) of the conference will feature many more interesting presentations, to name a few: Government regulation of the entertainment industry, case study on security system technology to ensure guest safety, Dreamland Aqua Park case study and a panel discussion on ensuring maximum TPLA revenue and creation of new sources.
