Construction work is in progress on four new schools across Muscat Governorate, with a total investment exceeding $36 million. The schools are being developed with modern, fully integrated facilities to support students across various grade levels.
According to Dr. Abdullah Khalfan Al Shibli, Director of Projects and Services in Muscat Governorate, the Ministry of Education is actively overseeing the projects. Each school will feature spacious classrooms, multi-purpose halls, science and computer labs, learning centers, and administrative offices.
Here’s a breakdown of the ongoing projects:
Al Amerat: A 40-classroom boys’ school (grades 9–12) under construction at a cost of $9.36 million.
A’Seeb: Two boys’ schools (grades 9–12), each with 40 classrooms. One is being built for $9.34 million, and the other, in Hail Al Awamer, for $10.28 million.
Qurayat: A co-ed school (grades 1–4) with 36 classrooms, currently being constructed for $9.36 million.
These new schools reflect Oman’s continued investment in strengthening its educational infrastructure to meet growing demand and ensure high-quality learning environments.
