Phoenix Energy supplies renewable energy products, such as solar water heaters, solid fuel boilers, wind turbine systems and solar outdoor lights to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Phoenix Energy is member of Phoenix group of companies and INDEVCO Group.
“What’s new this year is our PV system for personal use,” said Fadi El-Chiti, the Marketing and Sales Manager.
“PV or Photovoltaic systems use solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity,” explained El-Chiti.
A PV system is made up of one or more PV panels, a DC/AC power converter, battery system and charger, solar tracker, energy management software, solar concentrators or other equipment. “A small PV system may provide energy to a single consumer, or to an isolated device like a lamp, traffic lights or a weather instrument. We already see some of them on our roads,” noted El-Chiti.
“Phoenix can install PV systems that can provide up to 10 amperes of electricity to a house. All we need a space of 20 sqm to place the PVs. Once installed, our PV system can provide 10 amperes of electricity for 20 years with 80% efficiency. Almost no maintenance is needed except replacing the 200 amperes DC batteries every two years,” El-Chiti added .
“PV is a sustainable solution to households or even factories to reduce diesel consumption. It’s a source of alternative energy that can help us reduce pollution. What we need is to create more awareness. People still have little information about the benefits of renewable energy systems like PV. We hope exhibitions like EcOrient will help spreading the message and raising awareness on alternative energy,” said El-Chiti.
