Qatar has established itself as a premier global hub for medical tourism, according to Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani, a board member of Qatar Chamber, who spoke at the ‘16th Arab-German Health Forum’ in Berlin. The forum, hosted by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce (Ghorfa), focused on healthcare collaboration between Arab nations and Germany, drawing notable officials, business leaders, and industry stakeholders.
Al-Ahmadani, who also chairs Qatar Chamber’s Health Committee, highlighted Qatar’s advanced healthcare infrastructure, including cutting-edge hospitals, health centers, and wellness resorts. She emphasized prominent facilities like Zulal Wellness Resort, recently recognized as ‘Wellness Retreat of the Year,’ and Aspetar Hospital, a world-renowned orthopedic and sports medicine center.
Al-Ahmadani also noted Qatar’s growing international cooperation, especially with Germany, and called for further collaboration between Qatari and German firms, inviting German investments and technology in Qatar’s healthcare sector through joint ventures.
