The real estate sector is expected to rebound in growth indicators with widespread optimism as the countdown to the 2022 FIFA World Cup begins, Ezdan Real Estate Research Department noted in its latest market activity report.
Qatar has accomplished more than 75 percent of the fit-out plan for the World Cup facilities and constructions, including revamping Khalifa International Stadium, the inauguration of the South Stadium in Al Wakra, and the construction of three complexes with integrated training pitches.
A total of 40 training pitches have been announced, as well as the novel stadium of Education City Stadium gearing up to host the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup scheduled next December.
Real estate analysts assured that the indicators starting from the year ahead till the hosting of the global sporting event will all be marked as positive and stimulating, heralding of high growth rates driven by the increase in the demand for real estate units of various categories between residential, commercial or administrative, as stated in Ezdan real estate report.
In terms of real estate trading and sales volume recorded during the period from November 17-21, 2019, Ministry of Justice’s Department of Real Estate Registration has registered 78 real estate sales worth a total of approximately QR408.4m distributed over 7 municipalities; including Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Doha and Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Daayen and Al Wakra.
Doha Municipality topped the real estate transactions in terms of purchase and sales, outperforming all municipalities, where total sales and purchases amounted to about QR262m.
The municipality of Al Daayen ranked second in terms of the total value of transactions that reached QR81.3m, Al Rayyan came third in terms of the volume of transactions executed with a total value of QR47.2m and a total value of QR28.8m. Fourth place and fifth place, came Umm Salal Municipality with a total value of about QR14m, and the municipality of Al Shamal ranked last, and the municipalities of Al Khor and Al Thakhira ranked bottom.
