Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, recently inaugurated the “Saudi Land” pavilion at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, as reported by Saudi Gazette.
During the event, Al-Khateeb highlighted Saudi Arabia’s standing as the world’s largest investor in the tourism sector. “Saudi Arabia, the world’s fastest-growing tourism destination, is working to cement its global leadership in tourism, in line with Vision 2030. The Kingdom showcases its unique destinations, ambitious new projects, and expansive investment opportunities,” he stated.
Saudi Tourism Authority CEO and Board Member Fahd Hamidaddin celebrated the Kingdom’s tourism milestones and exceptional growth at this prestigious event. “The Kingdom builds on the success of phase two of its global campaign, This Land is Calling, targeting key markets, supporting partner achievements, and fostering strategic alliances with leading global companies,” he remarked.
At the Visit Saudi pavilion, attendees explored the new Saudi Red Sea Destination, with the latest projects by Red Sea Global, set to open 16 premium resorts this year and expand to 50 by 2030. Interactive displays highlighted Saudi Arabia’s renowned hospitality, environmental diversity, culture, traditional attire, music, and cuisine.
Now in its fourth year, the Visit Saudi exhibition, hosted by the Saudi Tourism Authority, is backed by over 70 industry partners, including destinations, hotels, airlines, and tour operators.
Saudi Arabia’s strong presence at WTM reinforces the Kingdom’s determination to establish itself on the global tourism map. The event showcased rapid sector growth, record achievements, unique destinations, and strategic partnerships that enhance the private tourism sector and attract a diverse range of global visitors.
