Saudi Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, inaugurated the “Saudi Land” pavilion at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, as reported by Saudi Gazette.
At the event, Al-Khateeb emphasized that Saudi Arabia has become the world’s largest investor in tourism. “As the fastest-growing tourism destination globally, Saudi Arabia is committed to strengthening its leadership in international tourism by showcasing unique destinations, launching new projects, and seizing key investment opportunities—all in line with Vision 2030,” he noted.
Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority, celebrated the Kingdom’s rapid tourism growth and accomplishments. “The Kingdom builds on the momentum of phase two of its global campaign, This Land is Calling, aimed at reaching key international markets, supporting partners, and forming strategic alliances with leading global companies,” he said.
The Visit Saudi pavilion unveiled the Saudi Red Sea Destination, highlighting new projects by Red Sea Global, which is on track to complete 16 premium resorts this year, with plans to expand to 50 by 2030. The pavilion also featured interactive displays showcasing Saudi hospitality, diverse natural landscapes, climate, cultural heritage, traditional attire, music, and cuisine.
Now in its fourth year, the Visit Saudi exhibition, organized by the Saudi Tourism Authority, is supported by over 70 tourism sector partners, including destinations, hotels, airlines, and travel companies.
Saudi Arabia’s strong presence at WTM reaffirms its dedication to establishing itself as a global tourism hub. The event highlighted the sector’s rapid growth, record achievements, and commitment to promoting unique Saudi destinations, attracting a diverse range of visitors, empowering private tourism, and building strategic partnerships.
