Saudi Arabia's diesel gensets market will be worth $700m by the year 2020, according to a new study.
The Kingdom's eastern, northern and central regions accounted for up to three quarters of the national demand for diesel gensets in 2014, the study added.
Saudi Arabia Diesel Gensets Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020, published by TechSci Research, found the Kingdom's residential sector accounted for the majority volume share in relation to 2014 diesel genset sales.
Riyadh and Jeddah have boosted growth in the residential sector, and are expected to continue the trend leading up to 2020.
Increasing end-user demand for electricity has encouraged growth in Saudi Arabia's diesel generator market, The Saudi Gazette reported.
