Procedures to sign the contract of building Komispan dam were conducted in the agricultural and water resources ministry of the Kurdish region of Iraq with the Turkish Atach Company.
The dam aims at securing water resources to the Kurdish region, in the light of weather changes all over the world.
It is expected that the dam will be finished in 1800 days, with a cost of 7.293 billion Iraqi dinars.
The height of the dam will reach 70 meters with a length of 590 meters and water capacity of 3.75 million cubic meters.
The dam lies 30 km, north east of Erbil city, to irrigate agricultural fields in the area and utilize it for tourism purposes.
