The first Waldorf Astoria in the UAE will open in the first quarter of 2013 in Ras Al Khaimah, as per announcements from the project's developer. Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah will be part of Al Hamra Village and will offer 349 luxurious rooms, access to a 600 meter private beach, three outdoor swimming pools, and eight restaurants and lounges. The hotel is being developed by Al Hamra Group and will be managed by Hilton Worldwide, the luxury brand of the global hotel group.
Al Hamra Village, the master planned development, covers an area of 2.5 million square meters and includes 1.5 km of beaches, 1,000 villas and townhouses, 2,500 residential apartments, two hotels, three resorts, a golf course, clubhouse, a marina and a shopping mall.
