Tivoli Hotels has announced its expansion into Qatar with the newly debuted Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli in the historic coastal settlement and trading district. Marrying Qatari traditions with contemporary comforts, the new 101-room property is housed across two palatial, heritage abodes robust with their original character.
Inside the accommodations, colorful motifs recall the blues of the sea and sandy tones of the desert, while thatched roofs pay homage to regional basket weaving traditions. Guestrooms and suites are also oriented around authentic Qatari majlis, traditionally used as a meeting place for families and a representation of Arabian hospitality. Open walkways and maze-like paths orient visitors toward the property’s several multifunctional courtyards that function as apt gathering areas as well. Included among the five onsite F&B options are the all-day Mediterranean eatery Jarnen, the Arabian fusion lounge Markhan, the diverse concept Emshoot, the lobby lounge, and Mahaadeg, which overlooks the Souq from an elevated terrace.
In harmony with the waterfront setting, the onsite Tivoli Spa is outfitted with separate treatment rooms for men and women as well as a hydro pool, steam room, Vichy Shower, and Jacuzzi. Gendered fitness centers are also included.
