The governor of Erbil announced that the Kurdish trade exchange with other countries has reached to $20 billion in 2012, underlying the stable security situation and economic progress that enjoys this Iraqi region.
He added that the greater percentage of the trade exchange was concentrating on the needs of the citizens.
"Baghdad was the trade center of Iraq, but due to stable security situations and economic developments in the Kurdish region, Erbil became the new center for such trade", he confirmed.
