Ukraine and Qatar agreed on cooperation in energy, infrastructure and aviation industries, the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine wrote on Twitter.
“[Minister for Economic Development Stepan] Kubiv met with representatives of the Qatari State Investment Fund of Qatar Investment Authority. They agreed on cooperation in the sphere of energy, infrastructure and aviation industry,” reads the report.
On November 15, the first meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Qatari Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation took place under the co-chairmanship of First Vice Prime Minister-Minister for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Stepan Kubiv, and Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar, Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, in Doha.
The parties focused on discussing key areas of the Ukrainian-Qatari bilateral cooperation, in particular trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, maritime transport, business development between Ukrainian and Qatari businesses, innovations and information technologies in smart- cities, tourism, technical regulation, standardization, metrology and conformity assessment, higher education and science. The parties also touched upon cooperation in the field of agriculture, energy and industry, the latest technology and healthcare.
