Under the patronage of H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, pacprocess Middle East Africa was officially inaugurated yesterday by H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; the Prime Minister of Egypt, at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ali Al-said El-moselhy; Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Mr. Khaled Abed Aal; Cairo Governor, Mr. Werner M. Dornscheidt; President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, Mr. Albert Aoun; Chairman and CEO of IFP Group, Ms. Dalia Kabeel; Deputy General Manager of Konzept, and several dignitaries, businessmen, and media representatives.
Organized by Messe Düsseldorf, IFP (International Fairs and Promotions) and Konzept, pacprocess Middle East Africa; the International Exhibition for Processing & Packaging in the Middle East and Africa, is held from 9 to 11 December 2019 alongside the 5th edition of Food Africa; the International Trade Exhibition for Food & Beverages which was also inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
Following the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister and guests toured the exhibition which has attracted hundreds of local and international specialists from 15 countries in the fields of processing and packaging within various sectors.
Dr. Madbouly praised the progress of the packaging industry in the country and lauded the wide participation of major foreign players, especially the German companies, indicating that the establishment of such an international exhibition in Egypt is receiving much attention.
He added that hosting such an exhibition in Egypt represents a real starting point for the export of Egyptian products to the Middle East and Africa markets, as it contributes to expanding the intra-trade movement between the participating countries in the exhibition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Albert Aoun said:
“We are enthusiastic to witness our vision of expansion in the region materialize with the opening of the first edition of pacprocess in Egypt, in collaboration with our German partner, Messe Düsseldorf, and our Egyptian partner, Konzept. The launch of this one-of-a-kind international exhibition in Egypt is a demonstration of our commitment to bringing tangible and sustainable value to the Egyptian and African markets that offer so many opportunities for growth.”
On her part, Ms. Dalia Kabeel, said:
